Police search for escaped bull on Greenbelt

Eagle Police officers and horseback riders rounded up an escaped cow on the Greenbelt earlier Thursday morning, but are still searching for a loose bull.

— Eagle police officers are trying to catch a bull running loose on the Greenbelt near Merrill Park.

The bull broke through a fench at a ranch near the Greenbelt at about 9 a.m. Thursday morning, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

Eight officers and four horseback riders, including the bull’s owner are trying to locate the animal.

The public is asked to stay off the path between Eagle Road and Horseshoe Bend Road until the bull is rounded up.

Police were able to catch an escaped cow in the same area earlier Thursday morning.
