Hawks snap four-game skid, move one back in division

KEIZER, Ore. - Boise beat Salem-Keizer 5-2 to improve to 26-0 when ahead after six innings. The Hawks (36-29, 15-12 second half) are behind the Volcanoes and Hillsboro in the NWL South second-half standings. Yasiel Balaguert followed a Carlos Penalver RBI single with a two-run single in the top of the third. Lance Rymel plated one run with a safety squeeze in the seventh, and produced the final margin with a single in the ninth. Jose Rosario (2-0) struck out five en route to the win.
