Maximus call center sets Saturday job fair in Meridian

August 20, 2013

Maximus Inc. will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Idaho Department of Labor’s Meridian office, 1090 E. Watertower Lane.

Maximus, which operates government health and human services programs under contract, is recruiting customer service representatives for a call center it plans to open off Chinden Boulevard in the Hewlett Packard Co. complex. The Virginia-based company has said it plans to hire up to 1,800 Treasure Valley workers to field the deluge of calls expected to hit state health-insurance exchanges, possibly including Idaho's exchange.

Construction is underway to outfit a 180,000 square foot building to become a call center. The center, expected to open in October, will operate Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Maximus recruiters will be at Saturday's job fair to talk with job seekers. The company has already participated in several local job fairs.
