Gun industry seminars to be held in Nampa Aug. 23-24

The Idaho Firearms and Accessories Manufacturers Association is holding its third-annual industry expo on Friday, Aug. 23, and Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Nampa Gun and Rifle Range.

The event will feature seminars informing professionals in the gun making industry how to navigate the laws, rights and opportunities to expand business. Members of the public are also invited. About 250 attended the event last year.

Friday, Aug. 23.

ÆFinancing a Gun Business, 2:30 p.m
Learn about options for financing gun related businesses and Small Business Administration loans.

ÆAlcohol, Firearms and Tobacco, 3:15 p.m.

Discussion of Workforce Development programs available to employers and job seekers.

ÆInsuring Gun Businesses, 4:45 p.m.

The latest news and trends in insurance.

ÆLegal Tips on Protecting your Firearms Business, 5:30 p.m.

Former District Attorney Alexandria Streich will talk about business owners need to know about the laws governing the industry.

Saturday, Aug. 24.

ÆIdaho's New Enhanced Carry Permit, 10 a.m.

Kayla Cuellar of Valiant Ammunition and Firearms out of Twin Falls will discuss the changing permit rules and rights.

ÆGun Law 2013, 11 a.m.

What you need to know about open carry.

ÆIdaho Fish and Game, 2 p.m.

News from the hunting side of things, including discussion an update on wolf hunting.
