Teens charged after Bodybuilding.com headquarters vandalism

August 15, 2013

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the May vandalism of the Bodybuilding.com headquarters that resulted in $240,000 in damage.

The names of the 16-year-old suspects are not being released because they are underage, police said.

Vandals trashed the under-construction building in late May, using spray paint, glue, and fire extinguishers to damage windows, walls, carpets and desks. Blueprints for the building were set on fire, police said.

"This crime was senseless and incredibly costly to the local businesses involved," said Lt. Bryan Hagler of the Boise Police Criminal Investigation Division.

The suspects have been charged with felony counts of arson, burglary, and malicious injury to property. Both boys live near the building, police said.
