Petrino looking for effort in Saturday's scrimmage (w/video)

STAFF AND WIRE REPORTSAugust 10, 2013

Coach Paul Petrino knows exactly what he wants to see from his team in the first scrimmage of fall camp.

“We’re just looking for guys to come out and play hard, be aggressive,” Petrino said after Friday’s first fully-padded practice. “We want to see who is being tough, being physical and giving great effort. I want to see effort grades that are really high.

“We’ll run a lot of plays. We’re game- planning it just like we were going against each other.”

The Vandals also scrimmage Aug. 17 in preparation for their Aug. 31 opener at North Texas.
