— Bonneville County sheriff's deputies this morning apprehended a woman who walked away Friday from a state prison work center in Boise.

Acting on a tip, deputies located Leah J. McCormack, 42, in Idaho Falls. She was taken into custody without incident at about 11:30 a.m., said Jeff Ray, spokesman for the Idaho Department of Correction.

McCormack was reported missing at 3 p.m. Friday. She walked away from the East Boise Community Work Center. She was last reported being seen in Boise at a motel near Interstate 84 and South Vista Avenue.

Before she walked away, McCormack was scheduled to be released on Sept. 2, 2017, after serving time of burglary in Bonneville County and possession of a controlled substance in Bannock County.

She now faces a possible escape charge, Ray said.
