Storms, rain possible Thursday evening

August 7, 2013

Wet weather could dampen the Treasure Valley on Thursday night, meteorologists say.

Wednesday will be sunny and hot, with a high of 99 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday also will be hot, but rain and thunderstorms are possible beginning Thursday night. Meteorologists are predicting a 20 percent chance of precipitation Thursday evening, with storms and showers coming before midnight. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s that night.

Sunshine will be back in time for the weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be clear with temperatures in the lower 90s and little chance of precipitation.
