Wednesday traffic alert: Speed limit reduced on part of Eagle Road

Statesman StaffAugust 6, 2013

The Idaho Transportation Department is giving drivers a heads-up that the speed limit will be reduced on a northern section of Eagle Road starting the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The speed limit will be cut from 45 mph to 40 mph from the Boise River North Channel Bridge to the junction with Idaho 44 (State Street). The affected section of Eagle Road is about one-third of a mile.

Officials said the change follows the recommendations of a speed study requested by the city and conducted by ITD on July 22, and communicated with local law enforcement July 31.
