Canyon County Pet of the Week: Melissa the Siamese mix

August 6, 2013

Melissa, 16, is a gorgeous Siamese/snowshoe mix, with big blue eyes that are slightly crossed, and many extra toes. All of these quirks only add to this sweet little lady's charm. Melissa came to the shelter as a surrender after her owner had passed away. She is good with well-mannered dogs, great with other cats, and is content to sit in your lap for snuggles or watch you work from the comfort of the window sill. She is very low-maintenance, declawed, and in great health for a cat of her age. Melissa is spayed, vaccinated.

Melissa is in the Lobby Condo at the Canyon County Animal Shelter at 5801 Graye Lane in Caldwell. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday. For more information on our other adoptable pets, please visit our website at
