— A woman serving time for burglary and possession of a controlled substance went missing from a work center Friday afternoon, according to the Idaho Department of Corrections.

Leah J. McCormack, 42, apparently walked away from the East Boise Community Work Center on Friday. She was reported missing at 3 p.m.

McCormack was last seen at a motel near Interstate 84 and South Vista Avenue in Boise, officials said. She was wearing a black shirt and black pants.

She is 5-foot-3, 140 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair. She was scheduled to be released in 2017.

IDOC officials are urging anyone who has seen McCormack or knows where she might be to call local police or CrimeStoppers at 208-343-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
