UPDATE: Scooter driver hospitalized after crash with pickup

At least one person was injured in a collision between a scooter and a pickup truck on Cole Road and Emerald Street Monday morning.


— A man hurt this morning when the scooter he was driving collided with a pickup during the morning rush hour in Boise is hospitalized with what police say appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred at approximately 7:53 a.m. at Cole Road and Emerald Street. Photos from the scene showed the scooter wedged under the front of the pickup, and pieces of the moped strewn about the road. The road was closed in the aftermath of the accident.

The injured man, who has not been identified, was transported by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

No citations have been issued, and police still are trying to determine how the crash occurred.
