STATESMAN STAFFAugust 4, 2013

EVERETT, Wash. — Rony Rodriguez hit two home runs and had three RBIs, and the Boise Hawks scored nine straight runs to defeat the Everett Aquasox 10-5 on Sunday afternoon. Kris Bryant went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a game-tying, two-run single in the sixth - extending his hitting streak to 10 games - and Jacob Rogers followed with the go-ahead RBI single. Jordan Hankins hit his first professional homer in the ninth. Every Hawk had a hit, and five pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts.

Roster move: Boise infielder Danny Lockhart was called up to Iowa before the Triple-A team's game against Tacoma. Lockhart is hitting .309 with 16 RBI for the Hawks this season. He replaces former Hawk Logan Watkins, who played second base for the Chicago Cubs on Sunday.
