Hawks split doubleheader against AquaSox

STATESMAN STAFFAugust 4, 2013

EVERETT, Wash. — Dillon Maples and Corbin Hoffner combined on a three-hit shutout, and Boise won the opener over Everett 4-0. Maples went five innings, allowing just two hits, to record his third win of the year.

Everett did not have a runner reach third base. A Kris Bryant RBI single in the fourth drove in the game-winning run. In the nightcap, two Hawks errors proved costly as the AquaSox won 3-1. Boise’s lone run came on a solo homer from Bryant, who extended his hitting streak to nine games.
