Anyone who boards a nonstop Allegiant Air flight to Honolulu on a Sunday, or a return flight the following Saturday, will almost certainly have a neighbor for the six-hour flight.

That’s because of the route’s overwhelming popularity, which contributed to a year-over-year improvement in June passenger traffic at the Boise Airport, says spokeswoman Patti Miller.

Miller expects the same kind of enthusiasm for new nonstop service to San Diego, which Alaska Airlines will offer starting in November.
