Boise Nationals drop second game at national tournament

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Boise Nationals Italia U15 girls wrapped up their inaugural trip to the US Youth Soccer National Championships with a 1-2 record after a 5-0 loss to Eclipse Elite Black 97-98 (Illinois) on Friday.

Eclipse Elite Black advances to Saturday’s national championship match against Ambassadors FC (Ohio).

The Nationals are the first team from the state of Idaho to advance to nationals, finishing with four goals for and 14 against.

The highlight of Boise’s trip was a 3-1 win over 2012 national runner-up Tennessee SC on Tuesday.
