Relief in sight? Cooler temperatures coming to Boise

July 26, 2013

After weeks of scorching heat across the Treasure Valley, cooler weather is coming to Boise.

Temperatures Sunday and Monday are unlikely to climb out of the 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunny, clear weather is predicted throughout the weekend and into the beginning of next week.

Although Friday is still slated to reach 100 degrees, it could be the last triple-digit day for a while. Saturday has a forecast high of 94 degrees, and temperatures will drop even further.

Both Sunday and Monday bring a predicted high of 89 degrees, and meteorologists say temperatures could drop to a chilly 55 degrees at night.

Tuesday will be just slightly warmer, reaching a high of 92 degrees.
