Motorcycle wreck clear, traffic moving

A motorcycle crash at about 7:15 a.m. that created bumper-to-bumper traffic on eastbound Interstate 84 has been cleared, and traffic is picking up speed, dispatchers said.

The motorcycle rider was injured in the single-vehicle accident just past Eagle Road. The severity of the injuries is unknown.

Meridian Fire responded to the scene. The right lane was blocked as emergency workers cleared the crash, but it is now open.

The motorcycle rider was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
