Emeralds put end to two Boise Hawks streaks

EUGENE, Ore. — Hunter Renfroe and Fernando Perez each had an RBI double and a home run, as Eugene ended the Hawks’ six-game road win streak with a 5-1 victory Wednesday at PK Park.

Renfroe got the Emeralds on the board in the fourth with an RBI double, snapping a franchise record 31-inning scoreless streak by the Boise pitching staff.

Third baseman Kris Bryant, the highest draft pick to ever play for the Hawks, recorded his first hit for the team, going 1-for-4.

Bryant’s lone hit was a ground-rule double on a fly ball to left-center field in the top of the first.

Boise returns home for a five-game series with Spokane on Friday.
