Adult Education Class: Garden Perennials: 7 p.m. at Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 N. Penitentiary Road, Boise. Guided walking tour of the Idaho Botanical Garden grounds where participants can expect to see perennials and discuss their cultural requirements, charms and idiosyncrasies. $10 members, $15 nonmembers. Adult Education Class: Hypertufa Trough Workshop: 10 a.m. Aug. 17 (part 1) and 6 p.m. Aug. 21 (part 2), at Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 N. Penitentiary Road, Boise. Make hypertufa troughs to use as planters for shallow-rooted outdoor plants such as alpines, thymes and succulents. $35 members, $40 nonmembers.
