Boise predicted to cool by end of the week

July 24, 2013

Wednesday will offer a minor respite from the triple-digit highs. Temperatures will top out at 94 degrees, falling to the low 60s at night.

But it won’t last long. Thursday and Friday will scorch the Treasure Valley with highs of 100 and 101 degrees, respectively. Both days are predicted to be cloudless and sunny, with no chance of rain.

Saturday will be only slightly cooler at 98 degrees, but those hoping for a reprieve from the heat may get their wish Sunday. Highs are expected to fall to 90 degrees, almost eight degrees lower than the average high so far this month.
