Ada County Pet of the Week: Georgia the Lab

July 23, 2013

Georgia, 8, is a spayed female, yellow, Labrador retriever. Georgia is a high-spirited, loyal girl.

Her previous owners reported she is protective of her home with strangers, but at the shelter she is friendly with everyone. She knows a few of her basic obedience commands, but is willing to please and would easily learn more. Georgia is housetrained and rides comfortably in the car. She gets along well with older children and has done great in playgroups with other dogs at the shelter.

Georgia can be found in kennel 315 (#20398245) at the Idaho Humane Society, at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
