Idaho women veteran's conference scheduled for Aug. 10 in Boise

All Idaho women veterans are invited to attend the biennial Women Veterans Conference, sponsored by the Idaho Division of Veterans Services.

The conference will be held Saturday Aug. 10 at the Riverside Hotel in Boise. Check-in for the event is from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and the conference will run until 5 p.m. It is free to all women who have served in the military or who are currently on active duty or in the Guard or Reserves. Registration is currently underway.

Keynote speaker will be Brigadier General Wilma Vaught, USAF (Ret.), President of the Board of Directors of the Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation, Inc. The conference will also include workshops on women’s health and wellness as well as the opportunity to treat the mind, body, and spirit through massage therapy, hair and make-up tips, etc. Lunch will be provided at no cost. There will be a raffle, door prizes and exhibit vendors, and time to network with other women veterans.
