Multi-agency search for man who went missing in Snake River Saturday

A man who was swimming in the Snake River near Centennial Park went missing and is presumed have drowned. The incident was reported at about 6 p.m. Saturday, according to Payette County Coroner Keith Schuller.

Schuller said the man was in the water about 25 to 30 feet from the dock when he disappeared. The missing man, whose name has not been released, was with friends. Schuller said they appeared to be in their 20s.

Multiple agencies are involved in the search for the man, including Payette Police, sheriff's deputies from Payette, Washington and Malheur counties, and the Payette Fire Department.
