— A Boise woman was arrested Thursday on accusations she illegally sold prescription drugs.

Carly Rochelle Edwards, 22, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Boise police said Edwards was apprehended as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of prescription drugs. Detectives developed evidence that the suspect sold nine Percocet pills last October, valued at $80.

Percocet is a prescription painkiller that contains oxycodone and acetaminophen and is used to treat moderate to severe pain. It is an opioid painkiller, which is one of the most widely abused classes of prescription drugs.

Edwards was taken to the Ada County Jail, where she posted $5,000 bond and was released.

She was arraigned on Thursday in Ada County Fourth District Court. Edwards is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 2 before Magistrate Theresa Gardunia.
