Triple-digit temperatures will be the norm in Boise this week

July 16, 2013

The heat wave gripping Southwest Boise won’t relent this week, with daytime highs expected to remain in the triple digits. The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and temperatures reaching as high as 106 degrees today. However, the threat of isolated thunderstorms and the associated cloud cover could keep it slightly cooler. Any chance of rain disappears by Wednesday. The Boise forecast for the remainder of the week is daytime highs around 100 degrees, with overnight lows around 60 degrees. The average high for July 16 in Boise is 92 degrees. The record is 109 degrees, set in 1898, according to the National Weather Service.
