Starting Sunday, July 21, out-of-work Idahoans will no longer be able to use the Idaho Department of Labor's Tel-A-Claim to file unemployment insurance reports.
Claimants will instead have to file their weekly job search reports to the department's website. About a third of all Idaho unemployment insurance claimants have been using the Tel-A-Claim system. The department made the change because it can no longer pay for Tel-A-Claim.
Claimants can file their job search reports using any computer with an online connection, including library computers and computers at the department's 25 offices throughout the state. The department website requires claimants to provide more detailed information when filing weekly job search reports online than was required on the Tel-A-Claim system.
