Slumping Boise Hawks lose again in Canada


VANCOUVER, B.C. - The Vancouver Canadians jumped out to a four-run lead and cruised to an 8-4 victory Friday.

The Hawks have lost three in a row and eight of their past nine.

Starter Paul Blackburn (0-2) took the loss after giving up four earned runs in three innings.

Shawon Dunston Jr. went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored, and Jordan Hankins went 2-for-4 to record his first multihit game as a professional.

Late Thursday night, the Canadians defeated the Hawks 4-0, their second shutout loss of the season.
