July 13, 2013

200,000 Idahoans

may be eligible to receive restitution from Apple, according to the Idaho attorney general's office. If you bought an e-book during or after 2010, you will probably receive a check or online credit eventually regardless of the platform you used to make the purchase.

The checks won't hasten your retirement. The attorney general's office estimates about $800,000 will be distributed to Idaho residents - $4 on average.

How do I enter a claim?

Sit tight. E-book purchases are documented. Those who are eligible will receive notices in the mail with details of any action they need to take.
