Boise Hawks fall to Vancouver in series opener

VANCOUVER, B.C. - Mike Reeves' tie-breaking sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth helped the Canadians beat Boise 6-5 on Wednesday at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Before the game, the Hawks announced three players will join the team from the Cubs' Arizona Rookie League squad: left-handed pitcher Sam Wilson, infielder Jesse Hodges and outfielder Kevin Brown.

Meanwhile, infielder Carlos Penalver, outfielder Yasiel Balaguert and pitchers Trey Lang and Trey Masek have been sent down to Arizona.
