Idaho State Police were investigating a single-vehicle rollover crash that injured a Nampa couple and their two teenage children Monday afternoon.

Police said Brian Pennington, 42, was driving westbound on Interstate 84 at milepost 224 in Cassia County with Stephanie Pennington, 39, and the the kids - Kayla Pennington,18, and Joshua Pennington, 15 - in a white 2000 Mercury Mountaineer. According to ISP, the tread separated from one of the tires. Police said the vehicle veered left, and the driver over-corrected and lost control. The vehicle then rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder of I-84.

The family was taken to the Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley. The severity of their injuries was unknown late Monday.

All but Joshua Pennington were wearing seat belts, police said.
