Boise toddler hit by car

July 6, 2013

— A 2-year-old child was struck this evening by a car pulling out of a parking spot in an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Alpine Street.

The child was apparently behind the vehicle and was unseen by the driver, according to a release from the Boise Police Department.

Police did not say whether the child is a boy or girl. The youngster was reported to be conscious and breathing and was taken to an unnamed hospital by Ada County EMS. The extent of the child's injuries was not immediately known.

It was unclear whether the child was related to the driver, who was not named by police.

The apartments are located just south of Morris Hill Park near North Latah Street.

The case is under investigation.
