Bar fight leads to felony charges

July 5, 2013

— A Boise man is in jail after allegedly assaulting two men outside a downtown bar in the early hours of Fourth of July.

Witnesses said Lonnie Earl Parlor Jr., 42, was arguing with one victim outside the bar, located in the 600 block of West Main Street, when the encounter turned violent. The suspect punched the man, then hit another man in the head, knocking him to the ground, witnesses told police.

Parlor continued to punch and kick the second victim as he lay on the ground, injuring his face and teeth, police said. Officers arrested Parlor and booked him into the Ada County Jail at 3:19 a.m.

Alcohol was a factor in the assault, police said. Parlor faces a felony charge of aggravated battery and a misdemeanor charge of battery.
