HAILEY, Idaho — San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (NAHM'-dee AH'-suhm-wah) married TV and movie star Kerry Washington last week, according to E! News and Idaho's office of Vital Statistics.
E! reported the nuptials Wednesday and posted a copy of the couple's marriage license online. The Blaine County recorder's office in Hailey confirmed the June 24 filing to The Associated Press.
The 31-year-old athlete and 36-year-old actress were married the same day. Washington's parents served as official witnesses, while Asomugha's sister performed the ceremony.
Asomugha, a three-time Pro Bowl player and four-time All-Pro, previously played for the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles. Besides starring in the ABC political thriller "Scandal," Washington's other recent credits include the films "Django Unchained" and "Peeples." She's also the cover model on the August issue of "Vanity Fair."
