Women killed in Nampa rollover crash identified

July 3, 2013

— Twenty-four-year-old Lauren Desaree Lane of Nampa and 22-year-old Christa K. Anderson of Middleton were killed Tuesday night in a rollover crash, according to the Canyon County Coroner's office.

The women were headed north on Happy Valley Road when the driver lost control of her 2009 Chevy Corvette. The car crossed the Garrity onramp, rolled, and came to rest on the Interstate 84 barrier before bursting into flame.

Lane was thrown from the vehicle. Anderson was trapped inside the burning car, according to the coroner's office.

Both women died at the scene from their injuries, police said. Police have not yet determined which woman was driving.

The wreck was reported shortly after 11 p.m.

A section of I-84 and the onramp were blocked for four hours Tuesday night. Police said the crash is under investigation.
