Idaho state tax revenue in May

Sales tax and product tax collections came in ahead of projections, but the excess revenue in those two categories was more than offset by lower than expected individual and corporate income tax collections. Miscellaneous revenue showed a huge drop from May 2012, but that’s because last year’s figure was pumped up by Idaho’s share of a massive settlement from mortgage lenders, says Derek Santos, chief economist for the Idaho Division of Financial Management.
