Former Steelheads standout hired by Spokane Chiefs

STATESMAN STAFFJuly 2, 2013

— Scott Burt, who played on two Kelly Cup championship teams with the Idaho Steelheads (2004 and 2007), is Spokane's new assistant coach. He spent the past four seasons as a player and assistant coach with the Alaska Aces.

"Scott was impressive through the process,'' Chiefs General Manager Tim Speltz said. "He is confident, outgoing and a good communicator. He is also not long removed as a player and I expect him to relate to our players and be a great asset for them.''
