Meridian grass fire burns through fence

— Firefighters on the scene of a Meridian grass fire have the blaze under control, dispatchers said.

The blaze, located near Linder Road and the railroad tracks, burned through a fence. Several houses and a boat near the fire were not damaged.

No injuries have been reported.

Meridian Fire crews are still working to mop up the last of the hot spots, dispatchers said.
