CALDWELL - Former College of Idaho player and coach Ed "Buzz" Bonaminio will be honored with a $100,000 gift supporting construction of the school's Athletics and Outdoor Education Center. Joe Glaisyer, who played for Bonaminio at C of I, made the donation. The head football coach's office in the new facility will be named after Bonaminio, who graduated in 1956 and coached the Coyotes from 1965-71. "Coach Bonaminio was a mentor to me and my teammates," Glaisyer said. "He has contributed so much to The College of Idaho as a player here, as a coach here and as a professor here. I think he needs to be recognized for all that he had done, and I'm glad that I can do that." The Coyotes' reinstated football program will begin play in 2014.
