Local golf: Barker sisters 1-2, Caldwell players 1-2-3 at IGA Women's Amateur


JEROME - Gabby Barker shot a 2-under-par 70 Saturday to improve to 3-under for the tournament and defeat sister Tyler Barker by eight shots for the state championship at Jerome Country Club.

Gabby Barker led by three strokes entering the third and final round before carding the only under-par score of the day. Tyler Barker shot 75 to finish at 5-over 221, and Trish Gibbens of Caldwell (73) and Sierra Harr of Buhl (77) tied for third at 222.

Amy Hasenoehrl of Lewiston, who beat Barker in a playoff for the IHSAA 5A championship last month, was fifth at 224.
