Man charged for theft from senior center residents

— A Boise man who police say stole thousands of dollars worth of items from residents of a senior center was taken into custody Thursday.

Jeremiah Tito Villanueva, 24, was an employee at the West Boise senior center when the thefts occurred. Police said he took personal property from the elderly residents over a period of several months. Stolen items included jewelry and cash.

Villanueva was arrested on a felony warrant Thursday. He has been charged with grand theft.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail Thursday afternoon. An initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
