BOISE — Alaska Airlines is scheduled to begin the daily nonstop flight Nov. 1, with fares starting at $99 each way, according to a Thursday press release.
Broncos fans, cool your jets. Tickets to San Diego the Friday before Boise State's Nov. 23 game at San Diego State University start at $262, with the Sunday return flight starting at $249, according to Alaska Airlines' website. If you fly into San Diego the day of the 8:30 p.m. game, however, you can buy a ticket for $129.
In May, Boise Airport Director Rebecca Hupp mentioned the possibility of landing the San Diego nonstop. At the time, she said it was "possible, not probable."
Daily flights to San Diego will leave Boise at 10:20 a.m., and the return trips will depart San Diego at 5:35 p.m. SkyWest Airlines will operate the new flight for Alaska, using a 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jet.
To take advantage of introductory fares, you must purchase tickets by July 4 for travel between San Diego and Boise from Nov. 1 to Jan. 31. For reservations or complete fare rules, visit Alaska's website or call the airline at 800-ALASKAAIR.
