TRINITY MOUNTAINS

Recreation area opens July 2

Campgrounds, roads and trails will be open, but the Trinity Mountain cabin will not open until July 15 because of repairs.

An early opener also may mean earlier closures, said Jake Strohmeyer, acting Mountain Home District ranger. "With a set operating schedule and budgets, late-season facility cleaning, host services and water systems could be affected," he said. There also will be some road closures for logging after July 4.
