CSI wastes no time in hiring new basketball coach

THE ASSOCIATED PRESSJune 26, 2013

— Six days after the College of Southern Idaho announced the hiring of assistant men's basketball coach Jeremy Cox, he was promoted to head coach.

The Times-News reported CSI promoted Cox on Tuesday.

Steve Gosar surprised fans by announcing his retirement Monday. Cox has coached for 22 years, half as an NCAA Division I assistant and eight as a junior college head coach. He won an NJCAA national championship at Arkansas-Fort Smith in 2006. He has coached 10 athletes who have played in the NBA.
