Meridian police arrest man on child porn charges

— A Meridian man was arrested Sunday afternoon after police reportedly found child pornography on his computer.

Christopher Kevin Maus, 32, faces six felony charges of accessing or possessing sexually exploitative material depicting a child.

The Meridian Police Department issued a search warrant for the man’s home after receiving a tip that Maus was accessing illegal images.

Investigators allegedly found pornographic videos and photos of children that had been downloaded onto Maus’ computer. An arrest warrant was issued for Maus June 11.

He is being held in the Ada County Jail on $200,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 8.
