— Betty Fleshman, 80, was killed June 22 in a car crash in Southeast Boise.

According to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevy pickup truck pulling a horse trailer was traveling west on Idaho 21 when it collided with an eastbound Honda passenger car at the Technology Way intersection. Initial reports indicate the Honda’s driver was in the process of turning left at the intersection on to E. Grand Forest Drive when the front of the truck collided with the passenger side of the Honda. The truck had a green light on Idaho 21 and the Honda was turning left on a flashing yellow light at the time of the crash. The Honda was extensively damaged in the crash.

Deputies arrived to find a badly injured Fleshman in the Honda’s passenger seat. They gave her CPR until paramedics arrived. She was pronounced dead around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The 81-year-man driving the Honda was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck was also badly damaged in the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger were taken to a local hospital for treatment for what appear to be non life-threatening injuries.
