Boise police are appealing to the public to identify who's responsible for stealing firearms from a parked pickup in West Boise.

Police said the theft happened between midnight and 6:45 a.m. May 24 in the parking lot of an apartment complex near North Maple Grove Road and Susan Drive. Several guns, magazines and ammunition were taken from the locked pickup, officials said.

One possible suspect was captured on security video. He's described as a male wearing a dark-colored jacket and white and plaid shorts.

Officers are looking for a vehicle that was seen leaving the area at the same time as the theft suspect. It's a white, mid-90’s model Chevy S10 Blazer or GMC S-15 Jimmy.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, log on to www.343cops.com or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. Tippers can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.
