Hot summer weather on its way to Treasure Valley

— Temperatures will rise in Boise next week, with highs in the 90s, according to the National Weather Service.

This weekend will be more moderate: Friday is predicted to be mostly sunny with a high of 73 degrees. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and clear, rising to 78 degrees on Saturday and 88 degrees Sunday.

But wet weather will return Monday and Tuesday, with rain and thunderstorms likely. Temperatures will remain in the 70s.

The chance of showers will fall Wednesday–from 40 percent to 20 percent–and temperatures will rise to 89 degrees.

The week will end with true summer weather: Thursday’s high is 98 degrees and next Friday will be 96 degrees.
