You still can sign up to create works of art for the fourth annual Idaho Statesman Chalk Art Festival on July 4. The event brings together professional and amateur artists who will translate their creative visions onto the sidewalks at Ann Morrison Park. You can work alone or in teams. Registration is $10 and includes chalk provided by Craft Warehouse. To sign up go to IdahoStatesman.com/ChalkArt by

July 1. Drawing starts at 8 a.m. July 4 in the park, west of the fountain. (Check-in begins at 7 a.m.) Judging starts at 4 p.m. The People's Choice competition runs throughout the day. Chalk murals must be complete to be judged.

The featured artists this year are Melissa Chambers, Karen Bubb, Byron Folwell, Lauren Kistner, Marcus Pierce and Geoff Everts.
