Idaho State women win national rodeo title

The Bengals clinched the championship at the College National Finals Rodeo late Saturday night in Casper, Wyo. Idaho State finished with 520 points to defeat second-place Northeastern Junior College (490 points). Leading the way for the Bengals was freshman Kimberlyn Fehringer, who claimed an individual title in breakaway roping and finished second in the all-around. Also, the College of Southern Idaho brought home three individual titles: Orin Larsen in bareback, Spencer Wright in saddle bronc and Timmi Ward in barrel racing. Panhandle State won the men's team title.
